(satire – I think)

In a sign of serious disagreement inside the Chancellor of the Exchequer, George Osborne the chancellor has publicly blamed the Chancellor of the Exchequer George Osborne for causing the UK’s loss of its economic AAA rating.

In an interview with BBC News, the chancellor reminded the chancellor he had broken his own pledge in the 2010 Tory Party election manifesto to keep Britain’s AAA rating – a promise made by the then shadow chancellor George Osborne.

And in a direct challenge to the chancellor, Mr Osborne sharply attacked himself, claiming the chancellor was at least partly to blame for the chancellor’s failure to clamp down hard enough on his own incompetence as chancellor.

Mr Osborne said of the chancellor:

Mr Osborne must shoulder full responsibility for breaking Mr Osborne’s pledge to keep the Triple A rating Mr Osborne made before the last election. As chancellor, we are in one mind about that. Both the chancellor and I. And so is Mr Osborne. I think.

Economics pundits were divided on whether the conflict was an indication of serious splits in the Chancellor’s personality. As one expert explained:

I’m an economist not a psychologist so I couldn’t tell you the state of Mr Osborne’s mind. One thing I do know though. If the state of his mind is anything like the economy – he’s f***ed.
