Many leading members of the royal family have been withdrawn after experts in the UK announced they had discovered large amounts of horse DNA in their bloodstream as fears over the amount of horseiness contained in popular brands of British royalty spread.
A spokesperson for Buckingham Palace said the step had been taken as a precaution after traces of horse DNA were found in the remains of the deposed king Richard III who was recently discovered under a car park in Leicester.

The spokesman would not confirm exactly how many members of the royal family had been affected or the extent and seriousness of their horseiness. He also refused to speculate whether the contamination had been caused by too much close contact with horses or was due to many royals having been bred with large amounts of equine DNA already in their blood.

They are related, but she is not descended from him. She is descended from his brother Edward IV. Different families are irrelevant. It happens when the monarch dies with no children or close relatives such as siblings, so the throne passes to another branch, which often goes through a female line, hence the name change.
