(satire – nearly)
The president of the British Association of Plastic Surgeons (BAPS) – the body which regulates breast enlargement surgeons in the UK – has called for the public to take their statements more seriously.
In an interview about breast enlargement surgery, the BAPS spokesperson said:
We can’t understand why the public keep sniggering every time a representative of BAPS tries to talk about the serious issue of breast enlargement, reduction and implant surgery.
In a related development, the spokesperson for the regulatory body which oversees penis enlargement – the British Institute for Glandular Diagnostic and Invasive Cosmetic Surgery (BIGDICS) – said they face the same uphill struggle to be taken seriously in the face of ridicule from immature bloggers with an infantile and childish sense of humour.
OK – I know this is a serious subject – but the regulatory body which oversees breast implant surgeons really is called the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS).
I might have made up the one for penis enlargement though.
Happy New Year!
