(No – not satire. Should be, but it’s not.)

Beware of Tory revenge.

The police officer responsible for telling the press about top Tory Andrew Mitchell’s abuse of police officers at the gates of Downing St has just been arrested.

Which means that in UK today, abusing a police officer – if you’re a senior Tory – doesn’t get you arrested but telling someone about it does.

Just as long as you’re one of the plebs of course.

So if you should come across one of the many gangs of drunken hooligan Bullingdon bullies roaming around the country smashing up things and shouting abuse at you – for Heaven’s sake don’t tell!

It could get you arrested.
