This is interesting.
Back in 2000, Lord McAlpine wrote a book about how to manipulate people in politics.
It was called ‘The New Machiavelli: The Art of Politics in Business – a guide on how to succeed in modern politics‘
The most interesting part is Lord McAlpine’s advice on dealing with the media.
Here’s a direct quote from him on that:
Spread false defeat to gain public sympathy; or false accusation and then arrange for it to be exposed as such – so the accuser will forever be treated with suspicion.
I’m not suggesting that Lord McAlpine has been taking his own advice on how to deal with the media – not least because that might end up with me receiving a court writ from his lawyers.
And that’s precisely the point – to shut up all talk about child abuse by top politicians. Isn’t it?

This is a telling quote! Particularly as the accusations against McAlpine and a much wider(or did I mean wilder?) range of individuals seemed to be circulated by their own side. I thought maybe somebody was settling scores, but thinking about it, though I can’t imagine McAlpine circulating something like this about himself, which is risky even if it can be denied, it is possible somebody in the Tory party or the Establishment could figure -“There is some bad stuff coming. So let us throw out some SNAFU. Make sure the names are those people have heard of, but either dead or no longer in the front-line”. It might work. People might shrug off the next story and say “oh we;ve heard tales like that before”, and jounalists be afraid to follow trails that might prove a flop. But let us keep our eye on the ball. Someone, not McAlpine, was the guilty party, and something was going on. Some information was suppressed. And the police and important people in that part of the country might have an unhealthy relationship as well as something to hide.

For “snafu” read chaff. Don’t know how the other expression came to mind, though it might often crop up in government. (Situation normal, all fucked up).

I think we have all heard enough about Lord Alpine now, distracted from the real problem here, those children who have been and are still being abused! The Establishment are playing games with each and everyone of us, putting their players into the picture to score points and distracting us from what really matters. I want to hear and read more on the #Savile alligations and on opening a new investigation into the North Wales scandal. Let the rest be seen for what it really is, a load of hot air!

BBC quote: Lord McAlpine said: “I do not suggest that Mr Messham is malicious in making the allegations of sexual abuse about me.
“If he does think I am the man who abused him all those years ago I can only suggest that he is mistaken and that he has identified the wrong person.”
( translation; he is a lying little shit, he should keep quiet about what my family member did with him)

Could you possibly tell – let alone with absolute certainty – from a current photo, that the guy in it was different from someone you always assumed was that guy 30 (or whatever) years ago? Or that the guy in the current photo was different from the guy you saw in another photo 30 (or whatever) years ago? And would you not know what that guy from 30 years ago looked like today anyway, when he had had an amazing life and you thought he had wrecked your own? And would you seriously consider the police who helped you identify him 30 (or whatever) years ago would lie through their teeth as to who he was? Seems like, whatever else, we’ve been told a rum story.

Time will tell. The bigger question will be if evidence proves the accusations had merit will they have to return the money paid by the BBC? I’ve been very curious why the accuser suddenly changed his tune. I don’t believe he’d never seen a picture of McAlpine in over 20 years. Smells of MI5 involvement to me
