(Not satire – it’s G4S!)
I might be a bit slow so forgive me, but I thought the disgraced private security company G4S who so badly f***ed up the Olympics security contract was …. well … a private security company.
So I’m wondering why they’re advertising to employ teachers, psychologists and social workers on their website:
I was aware that G4S is in charge of security, cleaning, caretaking services etc in some UK schools and that they provide teachers and children’s front-line educational services in the US but this is the first time I’ve heard about them employing front-line educational professionals in the UK.
G4S are also running 7 children’s homes in the UK. See another of their websites here:
Is it only me who finds this shocking?
Because I’ve got just one question about the idea of this bunch of cowboys being put in charge of our children.
Are we all stark raving mad?

Grayling has said that now he’s in charge of Justice, he wants to import the schemes used in Work Programme and its pay by results failings into the justice system.Might this be the cause of G4S advertising for the employees listed, they do sound like those used in prison rehabilitation programmes.

Having just finished watching Jericho, the idea of government contracts across all sectors being in the hands of one private company terrifies me.
If you haven’t seen the show, a private company who are running a lot of government contracts decide that they’d like to run the good old US of A so they nuke it and try to rebuild it in their mould. Very scary, and nowhere near impossible

In what way does this global corporation fit Tory ideas about competition driving down prices and fostering innovation? As they said, in justification of the Olympic contract, there weren’t really any other companies capable of fulfilling the brief. This is simply the replacement of national, accountable services by private monopolies with commercial opaqueness. The same thing is observable in the takeover of the NHS by the private sector.

G4s is now one of the biggest companies in the world. Cashing in on the collapse of western economies and lifestyles by being paid sick amounts to be the fall guys for politicians. Also, has anyone noticed we are becoming a Police State? Cuts to Legal Aid mean accused going unrepresented if they get to court, but cuts to Crown Prosecution Service, Courts Service and Police mean they are more likely to get a Police caution, even for GBH or rape, than a trial anyway. We can’t build schools and the NHS has been handed over to localised groups of doctors. Hmmm. will they all choose to buy old Ada a new hip over themselves a new Ferrari? We are now a third world country, G4s is part of the fog hiding that fact from potentially mutinous citizens.

In 2007, the Israeli subsidiary of G4S signed a contract with the Israeli Prison Authority to provide security systems for major Israeli prisons. As a result of this and other reasons, G4S are one of the nominees for the 2013 Public Eye Award, which awards the worst company of the year.
G4S should be boycotted in UK.

Business in the Children Sector is a multi billion pound industry.
I wonder how many of these G4S homes are near Masonic lodges.
There are good and bad Masons, however National caseworking accounts for girls being placed in darkened rooms full of men. Initiation ceremonies vary from one Lodge to the other. Draw your own conclusions.

followed the children’s home link and WTF are pictures of the homes doing on a public website? for a security company they are not thinking of the safety or security of the children placed in these residences
