OK, so we’re seeing the end of the NHS, the marketisation of our health system and the wholesale takeover of our hospitals and clinics by private companies whose only interest is to make a profit, not cure the sick.
But let’s look on the bright side.
If you’re poor, the Lansley’s reforms will be doing you a favour.
Because, if you’re feeling so miserable, what with the cuts, recession, hard times and all that, then why would you want to be healthy and live longer?
So smoke, drink and work yourself into an early grave, then you won’t be around long to suffer.
Because by making health care unaffordable to people without much money, the Tories (and their LibDem coalition partners) are guaranteeing our wretched lives will be as short as possible.
That’s awfully nice of them, isn’t it?
