(not satire – it’s Charles Saatchi!)
Well now. It seems Nigella’s is not the first throat Charles Saatchi has grabbed in anger.
During a court case involving Charles way back in 2005, a witness statement accused him of doing exactly the same thing, when he was in what was described to the court as a “deep rage”:
….the court heard allegations that Mr Saatchi had gone into a “deep rage” and grabbed a Cadogan company director, Peter Caselton, by the throat in a row over the behaviour of a security guard.

Considering the amount of press and public interest the Charles Saatchi/Nigella Lawson throat grabbing episode received – it’s somewhat surprising no-one picked up on this before.
I’m no legal expert, but it seems to me this information somewhat undermines Saatchi’s claims that the grabbing of his wife’s throat was just part of a “playful tiff”.
And if the police were aware Saatchi already had ‘previous’ for this kind of disgraceful behaviour when they interviewed him, would it have affected their decision to let him off with just a caution I wonder?

You will have seen references to my partner receiving death threats and being impostored and abused on the Saatchi art website. It went on from 2006 – 2010. Finally in December 2010 the ringleader of our cyber abusers had 8 allegations against him found proven by a district judge in a year long 4 day trial. Then the story gets even more sinister, with a leading UK stalking charity who knew of his criminal record and the precedent in UK law that was the cyber harassment non moletsation order to protect my partner, who referred him to Toby Coaker and his co producer to be interviewed as a victim in a cyber stalking documentary that went viral around the world. He is an actor as you saw in the above link and he pretended to be a victim and lied in the documentary which also featured leading welsh politician the MP Elfyn Llwyd, Laura Richards, Alexis Bowater , Garry Shewan and others. The non molestation order was until December 2013, but he had breached it dozens of times leading to it being strengthened and lengthened in December 2010, it is now permanent and much stronger, but he has breached it since. The order has automatic power of arrest but the police refuse to accept any crime reports from us and told us to deal with the breaches ourselves. We applied for legal aid but it was refused on the grounds that a reasonable person with the money would not pursue such a course of action, how absurd is that. The very agency who granted £15000 for his trial on the grounds that they stated this case should have been heard in the criminal courts, wastes a year of our lives pursuing an ineffective non molestation order and now dumps us and forces us to become litigants in person dealing with it in the courts ourselves, but this is entirely what this government knew would happen to poor members of the public with their new cuts to legal aid that came in in May 2013.

How interesting Tom. Since you published this story with a link to the Saatchi & Saatchi inside story book with the quote about Charles hitting his brother Maurice over the head with a chair, page 38 of the book has been removed, however, reports of it still come up in google searches
